Board Members are needed for Cardiff YMCA Housing Association.

We currently have vacancies on our Board of Management and especially welcome applications from people who are able to bring specific skills to our work:

  • Financial expertise in either commercial or public sector and with a demonstrable business acumen
  • Property development experience

In Cardiff the Association operates hostels and housing schemes mostly in the Roath area of the City housing and supporting 120 homeless vulnerable men and women every day and night of the year in secure supported temporary accommodation. We are about to embark on an exciting period of change and your expertise will be required.

The Group consists of Cardiff YMCA Housing Association and YMCA Cardiff.

The role is voluntary (we pay out-of-pocket expenses) and will require attendance at 4 to 6 Board meetings and potentially 4 to 6 sub-committee meetings a year. If you would like to be involved in supporting the governance and strategic development of Cardiff YMCA Housing Association, please register your interest.

Previous trustee experience is not essential and the Board will provide support to new trustees entering the role to ensure they feel comfortable and confident in the position.

We welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
