Abbie had the wonderful opportunity to host a table with sponsors, showcasing the transformative work we do at YMCA Cardiff. The sponsors were genuinely inspired by the incredible impact we make in our community and the stories shared on the evening.

The event was an inspiring celebration of the achievements of staff and young people across the UK, highlighting the life-changing work happening within the YMCA community. It’s a powerful reminder of how much young people can achieve when they are empowered and supported.

Did you know that 12,000 people become unpaid carers every day? Many don’t even realise they’re carers and may not be aware of their rights or the help available to them. Whether you’re supporting a family member, friend, or partner, knowing your rights can make all the difference in accessing benefits, workplace support, healthcare, and more.

At YMCA Cardiff, our Young Carers Project is here to support young carers in recognising and understanding their rights, providing tailored advice, and creating a safe space to connect with others who share similar experiences.

We're looking for a dynamic Youth Project Coordinator to join our Y’s Girls Mentoring Programme, based in the Vale of Glamorgan! If you're passionate about empowering young girls and improving their mental health and well-being, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors.
- Support vulnerable girls through group activities, and positive interventions.
- Build partnerships with local schools, social workers, and grassroots organisations.
- Manage project data and contribute to national best practices.
