Accommodation
Our Support Workers engage with residents to secure more suitable or independent accommodation. They work with residents to help them with future plans and goals using a person centered approach. The Support Work Team regularly works in partnership with other agencies to provide the best service to all residents and referrals may be made to appropriate services.
The Support Work Team also operates the Design for Life (DFL) scheme where drop-in advice is available.
Young People’s Services
YMCA Cardiff provides a tailored, specialist and confidential Sexual Health and Relationship Service for young people aged 11-25 in Cardiff. We also support organisations and schools across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan with sexual health training and information and advice on how they can support young people with their sexual health needs.
YMCA Cardiff also provides support and advice to young carers via the ‘Time 4 Me’ project across Cardiff and the Vale. Young Carers are children & young people 7 to 18 years old who help care for a family member who lives with them.
The ‘Time 4 More’ project supports Young Adult Carers (17-25 years old) across Cardiff and the Vale. For more information please visit our Young Carer page.
Alternatively get in touch via cardiffyoungcarers@ymcacardiff.wales or valeyoungcarers@ymcacardiff.wales to speak to a member of the team.
