The Design for Life centre is based next to our hostel on The Walk and provides service users with drop-in facilities to socialise, access advice, training, computer facilities and activities.

The DFL team run weekly activities and workshops both on and off-site. All activities are based on the 5 ways to wellbeing – Connect, Take Notice, Be active, Keep Learning, Give. Regular trips are organised by DFL for our residents in order to help develop their knowledge of the local area, encourage positive socialising, introduce people to the arts, improve fitness and help residents to find the positive activities they enjoy doing.
One resident said that the centre has helped her to “rebuild trust, make friends, develop new skills and do different activities which helped me get a job. It has also helped me fight my panic attacks”.
