YMCA Cardiff Named Finalist in Two Categories at National YMCA Youth Matters Awards 2025

We are proud to announce that YMCA Cardiff has been named a finalist in two categories at the prestigious YMCA Youth Matters Awards 2025 – a national celebration of the outstanding achievements of young people, staff, projects and YMCAs across the country.

This year, YMCA Cardiff is a finalist for:

  • YMCA of the Year
  • Health and Wellbeing Project of the Year for our Healthy Relationships Project

Being shortlisted in two categories is a testament to the dedication of our staff, beneficiaries and supporters, and reflects the powerful impact our services continue to have in our local communities.

YMCA of the Year recognises a YMCA that has demonstrated excellence, innovation and dedication in transforming lives. At YMCA Cardiff, we work every day to support people experiencing homelessness, provide safe accommodation, deliver youth work, support young carers and create welcoming community spaces.

Health and Wellbeing Project of the Year shines a spotlight on programmes that make a meaningful difference to the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of young people. Our Healthy Relationships Project equips young people with the skills and confidence to form healthy, respectful relationships. Through tailored one-to-one support, group sessions and youth-led sessions, the project helps build resilience, challenge harmful behaviours and encourage positive self-worth.

Public voting opens on Monday 11 August and runs until Sunday 25 August 2025

We’re asking our community to get behind us and show support by voting online. Your vote will help shine a light on the work we do and the young people we stand beside every day.
